Welcome to the Fall River Police Working Dog Foundation!

​

The FRPWDF is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation established to provide support to the Fall River Police Department's K-9 Program.

​

The FRPD K-9 Program currently has 5 members including two German Shepherds and three Black Labs.

​

These K-9's serve the City of Fall River and surrounding communities in many specialized areas including patrol work, ballistic detection, narcotics detection and explosives detection.

​

These highly trained K-9's also reside with their handlers and their families.

I'm K9 Odin

K9 Odin is a Belgian Malinois that became a member of the Fall River Police Department in July of 2019.

​

K9 Odin was born in the Czech Republic and purchased by the City of Fall River from Shallow Creek Kennels in Pennsylvania.

​

K9 Odin specializes in Patrol.  He and his handler, Sgt. Jeffrey Richard serve as members of the Unifrom Division.

I'm K9 Capone
I'm K9 Capone

K9 Capone is a black lab that became a member of the Fall River Police Department in September 2016.

​

He was purchased from the Maranatha Kennels in West Buxton, ME through a generous donation by Blount Seafood Corp.

​

K9 Capone specializes in Drug Detection and he and his handler, Detective Gary Barboza serve as members of the Vice and Intelligence Unit.

I'm K9 Roxy

K9 Roxy is a black lab that became a member of the Fall River Police Department in September of 2016.

​

She was purchased from the Maranatha Kennels in West Buxton, ME through the generous donations from Mr. Michael Panagakos and both Jane and David Askew.

​

K9 Roxy specializes in Explosives/Firearm Detection and Ballistic Detection.  She and her handler, Detective Jeff Autote serve as members of the Major Crimes Division. 

I'm K9 Joseph

K9 Joseph is a German Shepherd that became a member of the Fall River Police Department in June of 2016.

​

He was purchased from the Shallow Creek Kennels in Pennsylvania through a generous donation by Reverend Robert Lawrence.

​

K9 Joseph specializes in tracking, missing persons, criminal apprehension and article searches.  He and his handler, Officer Kevin Lopes serve as members of the Uniform Division and the Emergency Services Unit.. 

I'm K9 Lucky

K9 Lucky is a black lab that became a member of the Fall River Police Department in April of 2018.

He was purchased from the Maranatha Kennels in West Buxton, ME through the generous donation from The Lucky Charms Team.

​

K9 Lucky specializes in Explosives/Firearm Detection.  He and his handler, Officer Zachary Dupere serve as members of the Uniform Division.
